Leanne Iacovetta

Leanne Iacovetta moved from Columbus, Ohio to Los Angeles in 2008 to attend UCLA where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with B.A. degrees in World Arts and Cultures/Dance and Communications. At UCLA, she co-produced the annual undergraduate showcase, WACsmash, and was president of the WAC Undergraduate Society. Leanne has had the honor of working with UCLA faculty members Lionel Popkin, Vic Marks, Michel Kouakou, and David Roussève.

Leanne is currently a member of Roussève’s contemporary dance company, David Roussève/REALITY, and a cast member in his latest work Stardust. As part of the cast of Stardust, she will be touring the country throughout 2014-2015. In addition to performing professionally, Leanne is an up-and-coming choreographer. She worked as Assistant Choreographer to Roussève on his 2013 commission, Daring to be Dumbo, for Cleveland’s Dancing Wheels Dance Company. Her work has also been featured in UCLA’s WACsmashPoint(s) of Contact (Senior Honors Project), Culture Crossing, and the UCLA Summer Dance/Performing Arts Intensive.

For the second year, Leanne will serve as the Assistant Director of the UCLA Summer Dance/Performing Arts Intensive, hosted by Department of World Arts and Cultures/Dance. She is also very fortunate to work with the non-profit organization, The Flourish Foundation, as a mentor and dance educator. Leanne also works as an administrative assistant to various artists around Los Angeles, and enjoys teaching jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical, and hip-hop in her spare time. She is thrilled to be on faculty at Fifth Row Center Performing Arts!
