Danielle Kay

Since graduating from high school (and Fifth Row) five years ago, I have been studying Dance and Theater at UCLA. While attending UCLA, I performed in student-produced plays and musicals and even got the chance to direct/choreograph Bruins Care, a musical benefit performance that raised funds for Broadway Cares Equity Fights AIDS. My favorite performance at UCLA was being on ‘Company’ for one of the school’s oldest and most popular traditions: Spring Sing. Company is a comedy sketch group in which 12 artists come together to write, direct, produce, and perform in live and video sketches in front of an audience of 9000! I’ve also been dipping my toes in the LA regional theatre pool: Hello Dolly (3D Theatricals), Young Frankenstein (PVPA), and Anybodys in West Side Story (McCoy Rigby Entertainment). I am now graduated and pursuing “the industry” while teaching at the place that taught ME not so long ago: Fifth Row Center.

Rachel Kay

Rachel is about to enter her third year at Syracuse University, studying to get her BFA in Musical Theatre. She spent her last summer in Santa Rosa at the Summer Repertory Theatre performing as Roxie Hart in Chicago, Mrs. Tottendale in The Drowsy Chaperone, and Graziella in West Side Story. Her sophomore year she was lucky enough to learn the art of swinging with SU’s production of Crazy For You, and then she produced and played Amy in a production of Dry Land at Syracuse University. She is currently in Cooperstown, NY performing at The Glimmerglass Festival as Graziella in West Side Story and Grasshopper in The Cunning Little Vixen. She misses her Fifth Row Fam just about every day of her existence and adores visiting them when she is home.

At UCLA he was a member of Synthesis Dance Theater, Hooligan Theatre Company, and Act III Theatre Ensemble. He has worked as a dancer with Palos Verdes Performing Arts (Young Frankenstein), Cupcake Sudios (Hairspray), and 5-Star Theatricals (Peter Pan). He hopes to continue performing and some day dance on Broadway.

Giulia Marsella

Giulia is in her 3rd year at UCLA studying Dance and Psychology. After participating in the World of Arts and Cultures/Dance Summer Intensive in high school, she was inspired to come to UCLA and double major. This past summer, she had the incredible opportunity to come back as a counselor. During the school year, she is heavily involved on campus primarily with the Student Alumni Association and Cub Tours. As part of the Student Alumni Association, she is on the committee that organizes and executes Spring Sing— UCLA’s oldest and greatest annual musical competition. As a Cub Tour guide, she enjoys showing elementary and middle school students around campus, inspiring them to pursue higher education. Additionally, she is doing research in public health and rehearsing with a female hip-hop ensemble under Rennie Harris. She is excited to see what unfolds from these opportunities.
