Danielle Kay

A senior dance major at UCLA, Danielle misses Fifth Row Center on a daily basis, to an extent she didn’t think was possible. Does she miss it as much as she misses getting gold cards in elementary school? Debatable. But all joking aside, it was a tragically shocking moment when Danielle realized the dance professors at UCLA didn’t start class in a circle, asking everyone about their day, as is the beautiful custom at Fifth Row. Danielle has strayed. This is supposedly a bio. Danielle began dancing at the age of three and has trained in a wide variety of styles, from Hip-Hop and Tap to West African and Bollywood… she likes to call herself a dabbler. Musical theatre has always held a particularly special place in her heart, beginning with her two-year stint in the professional American Girls Revue when she was a middle-schooler. In sixth grade, Danielle was given the wonderful opportunity to play Jojo in Mira Costa’s production of Seussical. As a seventh-grader, she was cast as Chip in Mira Costa’s Beauty and the Beast and was then lucky enough to be a part of their spring musicals all the way through her senior year. Two of her favorite roles were Chava in Fiddler on the Roof and Bonnie in Anything Goes, for which she won the JRay gold medal for Best Performance by a Comedienne. Needless to say, she’s going through serious high school drama withdrawals. Danielle is thrilled to be a member of the incomparable Fifth Row family of teachers.
